About Us

The US Arab Chamber of Commerce is a national chamber located in Washington DC, dedicated to serving the U.S. business community. The Chamber offers expedited document certification services from the U.S. Department of State and Arab embassies in DC to support trade and exports between the United States and Arab countries.

This site is specifically designed to provide guidance and expedited legalization services for documents intended for use in Syria. Please note that there is currently no Syrian embassy operating in the United States. Therefore, all documents destined for Syria will be certified solely by the U.S. Department of State.

USACC outlines all necessary regulations and requirements to ensure proper certification of corporate, federal, and personal documents for use in Syria. Please review our instructions carefully to avoid any delays or rejections in the process.

Corporate documents must be certified by the local Secretary of State office in the same state where the notary is commissioned or where the document was issued. Examples of corporate documents include: Articles of Incorporation, Certificate of Formation, Power of Attorney, Agreements, Bylaws, Affidavits, Certificate of Good Standing, Contracts, and more. The Chamber will obtain certification from the DC government and the U.S. Department of State. Since there is no Syrian embassy in the United States, documents will only be authenticated by the U.S. Department of State. The Chamber stamp is available upon request.

If your corporate document has already been certified by your local Secretary of State, USACC can assist in obtaining authentication from the U.S. Department of State. All documents destined for use in Syria will be finalized with this certification. The Chamber stamp is also available upon request.

Federal documents must be original documents issued by U.S. federal agencies such as the FDA, FBI, USPTO, USDA, EPA, IRS, SSA, DHS, and others. The Chamber will obtain authentication from the U.S. Department of State. Due to the absence of a Syrian embassy in the U.S., this is the final step in the process. The Chamber stamp is available upon request.

If your document has already been authenticated by the U.S. Department of State, USACC can apply the Chamber stamp upon request to complete the certification process for use in Syria.

To begin the process, identify the type of documents you have and follow the specific requirements for each category. Once your documents meet the necessary criteria, prepare a package that includes the following:

• Documents intended for use in Syria, prepared according to all applicable requirements.
• Service Request Form with your contact information and clearly stating Syria as the destination country.
• Check or Money Order covering the total fees for all requested services, made payable to “US Arab Chamber of Commerce”.
• Prepaid Return Envelope with a tracking number (FedEx, DHL, UPS, or USPS).
